Raipur is a city in Raipur district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It is the 2nd largest city and the erstwhile capital of Chhattisgarh. It was formerly a part of Madhya Pradesh before the state of Chhattisgarh was formed on 1 November 2000. Physiographically, the district is divided into three units viz. Chhattisgarh plain, eastern and south eastern undulating and hilly tract and southern hilly range. The land use pattern indicates that 42% of the area is occupied by the agricultural land.

The former capital of the princely state of Saurashtra, Rajkot was founded in the 16th c. by the jadeja Rajputs, who ruled until independence. During the colonial period, the city was the administrative headquarters of the Saurashtra region, and today it is the district headquarters. The city is situated on the Aji River and sprawls with regal architecture. It is also an industrial center and an important hub for the body building of vehicles.

Ranchi is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand, and is the 3rd most populous city of the state. Ranchi was the centre of the Jharkhand movement, which called for a separate state for the tribal regions of South Bihar, northern Orissa, western West Bengal and the eastern area of what is present-day Chhattisgarh. Ranchi is a prominent political, commercial, industrial medical and eductional hub of eastern India.

Rotterdam is a city in the Netherlands, in South Holland within the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt river delta at the North Sea, and has a population of 633,471 (2017). It is the second-largest city in the Netherlands, just behind Amsterdam. The metropolitan region has 2,261,844 inhabitants (2014).

Rourkela is a planned city located in the northern part of Odisha. It is the third largest city in Odisha. It is situated about 340 kilometres (211 mi) north of state capital Bhubaneswar and is surrounded by a range of hills and encircled by rivers. The city is also popularly known as Ispat Nagar and also as the Steel City of Odisha. It has one of the largest steel plants of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) known as Rourkela Steel Plant.
