Dublin is the capital of and largest city in Ireland. The city has an urban area population of 1,173,179. The population of the Dublin Region, as of 2016, was 1,347,359 people, and the population of the Greater Dublin area was 1,904,806.

Eindhoven is a municipality and a city in the south of the Netherlands, and had a population of 223,220 in January 2015, making it the largest in the province of North Brabant. The metropolitan area consists of 419,045 inhabitants. The city region has a population of 753,426. Also, Eindhoven is located in the Brabantse Stedenrij, a combined metropolitan area with about 2 million inhabitants.

Espoo is the second largest city and municipality in Finland. It is part of the Finnish Capital Region, and most of its population lives in the inner urban core of the Helsinki metropolitan area, along with the cities of Helsinki, Vantaa, and Kauniainen. It had a population of 274,583 at the beginning of 2017.

Espoo doesn't have a traditional city center at all, but it has several local regional centers.

Faridabad is the largest city in the north Indian state of Haryana. It is a leading industrial centre and situated in the National Capital Region bordering the Indian capital New Delhi. Hamburg, officially the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, is the second-largest city of Germany as well as one of the country's 16 constituent states, with a population of roughly 1.8 million people. The city lies at the core of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, which spreads across four German federal states and is home to more than 5 million people.

Fremantle is a major Australian port city in Western Australia, located at the mouth of the Swan River. Fremantle Harbour serves as the port of Perth, the state capital. The city has a population of approximately 27,000.

Many of the city's enterprises are small businesses, with 75% employing fewer than five people. Fremantle's biggest employment sector is health care and social assistance – 17.5% of the city's workers are employed in this area, reflecting the important influence of Fremantle Hospital.

Gandhinagar is the capital of the state of Gujarat in Western India. Gandhinagar is located approximately 23 km north of Ahmedabad, on the west central point of the Industrial corridor between Delhi, the political capital of India, and Mumbai, the financial capital of India.

Gangtok is a municipality, the capital and the largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. It also is the headquarters of the East Sikkim district. Gangtok is located in the eastern Himalayan range, at an elevation of 1,650 m (5,410 ft). The town's population of 100,000 belongs to different ethnicities such as Nepalis, Lepchas and Bhutia. Nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya and enjoying a year-round mild temperate climate, Gangtok is at the centre of Sikkim's tourism industry.

Ghent is a city and a municipality in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is the capital and largest city of the East Flanders province and after Antwerp the largest municipality of Belgium. The population in Ghent was 259,083 (2017), while the larger melopolitan has more than half a million inhabitants.

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, and third most populous in the United Kingdom. The city's population is 615,070 (2016) and 1,817,870 in its metropolitan area. Glasgow is situated on the River Clyde in the country's West Central Lowlands.

Gothenburg is the second-largest city in Sweden and the fifth largest in the Nordic countries. It is situated by Kattegat, on the west coast of Sweden, and has a population of approximately 580,000 in the urban area and about 1 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area.

Guadalajara is the capital and largest city of the Mexican state of Jalisco, and the seat of the municipality of Guadalajara. The city is in the central region of Jalisco in the Western-Pacific area of Mexico. With a population of 1,495,189 it is Mexico's fourth most populous municipality. The Guadalajara Metropolitan Area has a reported population of 5 million inhabitants, making it the second most populous metropolitan area in Mexico, behind Mexico City.

Guimarães is a city and municipality located in northern Portugal, in the district of Braga. The city has a population of 52,181 inhabitants. The population of the municipality in 2011 was 158,124.

It’s known for well-preserved medieval buildings like the hilltop, 10th-century Guimarães Castle, with its sweeping city views. The restored Dukes of Bragança Palace, built in the style of a French chateau, has a museum showcasing furniture, tapestries and weapons. Between the palace and the castle is the Romanesque São Miguel do Castelo Church, built in the 13th century.

Guwahati( Pragjyotishpura in ancient Assam, Gauhati in the modern era) is the largest city of Assam and Northeastern India, a major riverine port city and one of the fastest growing cities in India, situated on the South Bank of the Brahmaputra River. Many ancient Hindu temples are in the city, giving it the name "City of Temples". Dispur, the capital of Assam, is in the circuit city region located within Guwahati and is the seat of the Government of Assam.

Gwalior is a city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh is a major and the northern-most city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and one of the Counter-magnet cities. Located 319 kilometres south of Delhi, the capital city of India, Gwalior occupies a strategic location in the Gird region of India. The city and its fortress have been ruled by several historic northern Indian kingdomsIt's known for its palaces and temples, including the Sas Bahu Ka Mandir intricately carved Hindu temple.

Hangzhou is the capital and most populous city of Zhejiang Province in east China. It sits at the head of Hangzhou Bay, which separates Shanghai and Ningbo. Hangzhou grew to prominence as the southern terminus of the Grand Canal and has been one of the most renowned and prosperous cities in China for much of the last millennium. Hangzhou is classified as a sub-provincial city and forms the core of the Hangzhou metropolitan area, the fourth-largest in China.

Helsinki is the capital and largest city of Finland. It is in the region of Uusimaa, in southern Finland, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland., making it the most populous municipality and urban area in Finland.

Its central avenue, Mannerheimintie, is flanked by institutions including the National Museum, tracing Finnish history from the Stone Age to the present. Hong Kong, officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the eastern side of the Pearl River estuary in East Asia, south of the mainland Chinese province of Guangdong, and east of the former Portuguese colony and fellow special administrative region of Macau. With around 7.3 million Hong Kongers of various nationalities in a territory of 1,104 km2, Hong Kong is the fourth-most densely populated region in the world.

Hubli is located as a Taluk in district Dharwad in the Western sector of the northern half of Karnataka State. It is the second largest and second most populated city in the state of Karnataka. It has a large floating population of over 2 lakh which stands second after Bangalore in Karnataka. Hubli is an important industrial center with more than 3,000 small & medium industries. Imphal is the capital city of the Indian state of Manipur. Jalandhar is an ancient city in the north Indian state of Punjab. It’s home to Devi Talab Mandir, a centuries-old Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Durga, with a tank considered sacred by devotees. The whitewashed Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi is a place of worship for Sikhs. To the southeast lies St. Mary’s Cathedral, a modern building with Punjabi architectural elements, 2 domed towers and a pond.

Jammu is the largest city in the Jammu Division and the winter capital of state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is situated on the banks of the Tawi River. Jammu city lies at uneven ridges of low heights at the Shivalik hills. It is surrounded by Shivalik range to the north, east and southeast while the Trikuta Range surrounds it in the north-west. It is approximately 600 kilometres (370 mi) from the national capital, New Delhi.

Jeju is the capital of Jeju Province in South Korea and the largest city on Jeju Island (population 621,550), which is the largest island off the coast of the Korean Peninsula, and the main island of Jeju Province of South Korea. Jeju city had a population of 435,413 in 2012.

Jejudo is a volcanic island, dominated by Hallasan: a volcano 1,950 metres (6,400 ft) high and the highest mountain in South Korea.

Jhansi is a historic city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It lies in the region of Bundelkhand on the banks of the Pahuj River, in the extreme south of Uttar Pradesh. Kanpur is a large industrial city on the banks of the Ganges River, in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. On its northern outskirts, Kanpur Zoological Park features orangutans and tigers. East of the city, along the Ganges, the Massacre Ghat riverside steps were the site of an 1857 massacre during a rebellion against British rule. In the suburb of Jajmau is an ancient mound and archaeological site.

Karimnagar is a Municipal Corporation and district headquarters of Karimnagar district of Telangana state. It is situated on the banks of Manair River, which is a tributary of the Godavari River. It is the fourth largest and fastest growing urban settlement in the state, according to 2011 census. It has registered a population growth rate of 45.46% and 38.87% respectively over the past two decades between 1991 and 2011, which is highest growth rate among major cities of Telangana.

Karnal or the Rice Bowl of India is a city located in National Capital Region and the headquarters of Karnal District in the Indian state of Haryana.

Karnal, headquarter of the district Karnal, is one of the oldest districts of Haryana. The city has gained importance since Mahabharata era. It is believed that it was founded by Raja Karna, the eldest son of Kunti and hence the city is called the city of Daanvir Karna.

Kauai, is a volcanic island, Kauai county, Hawaii, U.S. Known also as the "Garden Isle", Kauaʻi lies 105 miles (169 km) across the Kauaʻi Channel, northwest of Oʻahu. The 2010 United States Census population of the island was 67,091.

The nearly circular island is dominated by Mount Waialeale, rising to 5,243 feet (1,598 metres) at the island’s centre. The island is the site of Waimea Canyon State Park. Sugar was formerly the main agricultural product, but production ceased in the early 21st century after a decades-long decline. Tourism is Kauaʻi's largest industry.

Kitakyushu is one of two designated cities in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, together with Fukuoka, with a population of just under 1 million people.

Located close to other Asian countries, Kitakyushu has thrived as a gateway to Asia due to its convenient location between Tokyo and Shanghai and as an industrial base in Japan.

Formerly known as Cochin, this is one of the major port cities located on the West Indian coastal areas. This city of the Ernakulam district of the state of Kerala is situated by the side of the Arabian Sea. Kohima is the hilly capital city of India's north eastern state of Nagaland. Kohima is the land of the Angami Naga tribe. It is situated in the foothills of Japfu range located south of Kohima District and has an average elevation of 1261 metres. The district is well developed and comprises of various institutions, hospitals, schools, hotels and restaurants.

Kota is a city on the Chambal River in Rajasthan, northern India. In 2013, Kota was ranked the second most livable city in the state (after Jaipur) and forty-first in the country among 50 cities.

Lamu or Lamu Town is a small town on Lamu Island, which in turn is a part of the Lamu Archipelago in Kenya. Situated 341 kilometres (212 mi) by road northeast of Mombasa that ends at Mokowe Jetty from where the sea channel has to be crossed to reach Lamu Island.  Population (2009) was 13,243.

Lucknow is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and is also the administrative headquarters of the eponymous District and Division. Lucknow has always been known as a multicultural city that flourished as a North Indian cultural and artistic hub, and the seat of power of Nawabs in the 18th and 19th centuries. It continues to be an important centre of governance, administration, education, commerce, aerospace, finance, pharmaceuticals, technology, design, culture, tourism, music and poetry.

Ludhiana is a city and a municipal corporation in Ludhiana district in the Indian state of Punjab. Ludhiana is now Punjab's most populated and very rapidly growing metropolitan city. It is on the south bank of the Sutlej river. The city was the sight of a great battle during the first Sikh wars. Its hosiery goods are in demand in all the markets of the east and the west, which include America and Russia. For its production of hosiery, Ludhiana is also known as the Manchester of India.

Lugano is a city in southern Switzerland in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino bordering Italy. It has a population (as of December 2016) of 63,932, and an urban agglomeration of over 145,000. The city lies on Lake Lugano, surrounded by the mountains of the Lugano Prealps.

Following on from the establishment of Ticino University (1996), many specialised research institutes arrived, including the new Swiss National Supercomputing Centre, and this has allowed Lugano to play a key role in research and in the knowledge society.
