As bigger a city is, as more searching traffic it is creating.
If a city is able to optimize the parking, concurrently the traffic flow is improved. And so is the revenue, created out of parking is.
Parking is just a piece of Mobility, but an important one. In some occasions, the searching-traffic is contributing with up to 35% of the total traffic.
If a city is able to optimize parking conditions, the positive impact to the commuting traffic will be huge.
But in contrast to traffic, the parking is a source of revenue. And more, parking is a tool to reduce traffic and therewith to increase mobility.
Free parking is expensive to all participants, as a valuable service is given for free on cost of the society. On the other side, paid parking, for surface parking, for On-Street Parking and for OffStreet parking is a tool to optimize the length of stay and to offer parking to an increased number of users.
