Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is the capital of India's southern Karnataka state.  It has a population of over ten million,[9] making it a megacity and the third most populous city and fifth most populous urban agglomeration in India. It is located in southern India on the Deccan Plateau. Its elevation is over 900 m (3,000 ft) above sea level, the highest of India's major cities.

Tumkur (officially renamed as Tumakuru) is the district headquarters of Tumkur district. It is one of the industrial cities located in the state of Karnataka. Since 28 August 2010, Tumkur has been accorded the status of a City Corporation. Tumkur plays host for India's first mega food park which is a project of the ministry of food processing. The India Food Park was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2014.

Shimoga, officially renamed as Shivamogga, is a city and the district headquarters of Shimoga District in the central part of the state of Karnataka, India. The city lies on the banks of the Tunga River. Being the gateway for the hilly region of the Western Ghats, the city is popularly nicknamed as "Gateway of Malnad".

The city is 569 m above sea level and is surrounded by lush green paddy fields, arecanut and coconut groves.

Mangalore (or Mangaluru) is an Arabian Sea port and a major commercial center in the Indian state of Karnataka. Mangalore developed as a port in the Arabian Sea during ancient times and became a major port of India. The port is used as a staging point for sea traffic along the Malabar Coast. Mangalore's economy comprises industrial, commercial, agricultural processing and port-related activities. The New Mangalore Port is India's eighth largest port, in terms of cargo handling.

Belgaum (also known as Belagavi, Belgavi and Venugrama or "bamboo village") is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka located in its northern part along the Western Ghat.

Davanagere, also spelled Davangere, is a city in the centre of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is the sixth largest city in the state, and the administrative headquarters of eponymous Davangere District. Hitherto being a cotton hub and hence popularly known before as the Manchester of Karnataka, the commercial ventures of the city is now dominated by education and agro-processing industries.

Hubli is located as a Taluk in district Dharwad in the Western sector of the northern half of Karnataka State. It is the second largest and second most populated city in the state of Karnataka. It has a large floating population of over 2 lakh which stands second after Bangalore in Karnataka. Hubli is an important industrial center with more than 3,000 small & medium industries. Hubli is the main trading center for agriculture produce. Farmers from all over the state sell their produce here.
