Aarhus is the second-largest city in Denmark and the seat of Aarhus municipality. It is located on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula, in the geographical centre of Denmark. The municipal population is 335,684 (as of 2017). It is the central city in the East Jutland metropolitan area, which had a total population of 1.378 million in 2016.

Abu Dhabi is the federal capital of the United Arab Emirates and the largest of the seven emirates. The Emirate lies on the borders with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman and the Arabian Gulf. The emirate comprises 200 islands and has 700 kilometres coastline.  Abu Dhabi is the capital and the second most populous city of the United Arab Emirates (the most populous being Dubai), and also capital of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, The city proper had a population of 1.5 million in 2014.

Agartala is the capital of the Indian state of Tripura as well as the second largest city in North-east India after Guwahati, both in municipal area and population. The city is the seat of the Government of Tripura. Agartala is one of the fastest developing cities of India. Agartala is a component of two words, namely "Agar", a kind of oily valuable perfume tree, and the suffix "tala", a storehouse. The city is governed by the Agartala Municipal Corporation.

Agra is an ancient city, mentioned in the Mahabharata and came into the limelight during the reign of the Mughals. It is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The Taj is a monument of such incredible elegance that it is considered synonymous with beauty itself.

Ahmedabad also known as Amdavad is the largest city and former capital of Gujarat, which is a state in India. Ahmedabad has emerged as an important economic and industrial hub in India. It is the second largest producer of cotton in India, and its stock exchange is the country's second oldest. In 2010, Ahmedabad was ranked third in Forbes's list of fastest growing cities of the decade.In 2012, The Times of India chose Ahmedabad as India's best city to live in. As of 2014, Ahmedabad's estimated gross domestic product was $64 billion.

Aizawl is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people.

Ajmer is a city in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan.  Ajmer is surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains. It is a pilgrimage centre for the shrine of the Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and is also the base for visiting Pushkar (11 km), an ancient Hindu pilgrimage city, famous for the temple of Lord Brahma. Ajmer has been selected as one of the heritage cities for the HRIDAY - Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana scheme of Government of India.

Aligarh is a city in the Northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh that is famous for lock industries and the administrative headquarters of the Aligarh district. It lies 203 kilometres (126 mi) northwest of Kanpur and is approximately 140 kilometres (87 mi) southeast of the capital, New Delhi. Aligarh is one of the largest cities in Uttar Pradesh, and is the 55th largest city in India. Key features of the city are:

Allahabad local Hindustani pronunciation: or Prayag is a large metropolitan city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Allahabad is the oldest living city in India after Varanasi. The city's original name – Prayag, or "place of offerings" – comes from its position at the Sangam (confluence) of the Ganga, Yamuna and Sarasvati rivers. It plays a central role in Hindu scriptures.

Ameland is a municipality and one of the West Frisian Islands off the north coast of the Netherlands. It consists mostly of sand dunes. The municipality of Ameland had a population of 3,683 in 2017.

The island has four villages, and one small part-village.

Most travelers reach the island by ferry from Holwerd in the mainland of Friesland, but there is also an Airport near Ballum (Ameland Airport).

Amaravati is the capital city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a newly planned city which derives its name from the ancient Amaravathi town located in Guntur district. Newly planned city of Amaravati along with neighboring Vijayawada, Guntur and Tenali forms the Metropolitan region of Amaravati namely Andhra Pradesh Capital Region which is the largest populated region of Andhra Pradesh state with a population of 5.8 million as of 2011 census which is governed by APCRDA.

Amritsar is a city in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab, 28 kilometers from the border with Pakistan. It is  the centre of Sikhism and the site of the Sikhs’ principal place of worship—the Harmandir Sahib, or Golden Temple. At the center of its walled old town, the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is the holiest gurdwara (religious complex) of the Sikh religion. It’s at the end of a causeway, surrounded by the sacred Amrit Sarovar tank (lake), where pilgrims bathe.

Amsterdam is the capital and most populous municipality of the Netherlands. Its status as the capital is mandated by the Constitution of the Netherlands, although it is not the seat of the government, which is The Hague.

Amsterdam is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, receiving more than 4.63 million international visitors annually, this is excluding the 16 million day trippers visiting the city every year. The number of visitors has been growing steadily over the past decade.

Antwerp is a city in Belgium, and is the capital of Antwerp province in Flanders. It has a population of 520,504 and its metropolitan area houses around 1,200,000 people, coming in second behind the capital Brussels.

Anyang is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. With a population of approximately 600,000 persons, it is the 20th largest city in South Korea. It is a satellite city of Seoul and located approximately 21 km south of Seoul, and 19 km north of Suwon. It is connected to Seoul via the Seoul Subway Line 1 and Line 4. The City motto of Anyang is "Livable city, Proud citizens". City symbols are 'Podong-i' a grape mascot, Forsythia (flower), Ginkgo (tree), and Eagle.

Atlanta is the capital and most populous city of the state of Georgia in the United States. With an estimated 2016 population of 472,522, it is the cultural and economic center of the Atlanta metropolitan area, home to 5.8 million people and the ninth-largest metropolitan area in the United States.

Due to the more than 30 colleges and universities located in the city, Atlanta is considered a center for higher education.

Aurangabad is a city in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state in India . The city is a tourism hub, surrounded by many historical monuments, including the Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as Bibi Ka Maqbara and Panchakki.

Bandung is the capital of West Java province in Indonesia and Greater Bandung. Population is 2,575,478 and is part of Indonesia's 3rd largest metropolitan area with 8,201,928 inhabitants. Located 768 metres (2,520 feet) above sea level, approximately 140 kilometres (87 miles) south east of Jakarta, Bandung has cooler year-round temperatures than most other Indonesian cities. 

Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is the capital of India's southern Karnataka state.  It has a population of over ten million,[9] making it a megacity and the third most populous city and fifth most populous urban agglomeration in India. It is located in southern India on the Deccan Plateau. Its elevation is over 900 m (3,000 ft) above sea level, the highest of India's major cities.

Barcelona is a city in Spain. It is the capital and largest city of Catalonia, and the second most populous municipality of Spain. With a population of 1.6 million within city limits, its urban area extends to numerous neighbouring municipalities within the Province of Barcelona and is home to around 4.7 million people.

Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist, economic, trade fair and cultural centres.

Beijing, is the capital of the People's Republic of China, the world's second most populous city proper, and most populous capital city. The city is located in northern China. Beijing Municipality is surrounded by Hebei Province with the exception of neighboring Tianjin Municipality to the southeast; together the three divisions form the Jingjinji metropolitan region and the national capital region of China. Beijing's Municipality has 21,700,000 inhabitants. The encompassing metropolitan area was estimated by the OECD to have, as of 2010, a population of 24.9 million.

Belgaum (also known as Belagavi, Belgavi and Venugrama or "bamboo village") is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka located in its northern part along the Western Ghat.

Bhagalpur is a city of historical importance on the southern banks of the river Ganges in the Indian state of Bihar. It is the 3rd largest city of Bihar and also the headquarters of Bhagalpur district and Bhagalpur division. Known as Silk City, it is a major educational, commercial, and political centre, and listed for development under the Smart City program, a joint venture between Government and industry.

Known as the City of Lakes, Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Founded by Raja Bhoj, the city has many natural and artificial lakes and it is one of the greenest cities in the country. Bhopal has retained its old world charm despite industrialization, with the old part of the city being full of narrow alleyways and crammed markets, while the new part of the city is better planned and is full of parks and gardens.

Known as the “Temple City”, Bhubaneswar has a unique position by virtue of the ability to seamlessly integrate its rich cultural heritage with a strong regional economic base. Tourism plays an integral part. Evry year millions of people visit various sightseeing places in Bhubhneshwar.

Bilaspur is a city in Bilaspur District in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, situated 133 km (83 miles) north of the state capital, Naya Raipur. It's divided by the winding Arpa River. The nearby villages of Ratanpur and Malhar are known for their ancient, intricately carved Hindu temples. To the north, Khutaghat Dam is framed by hills.  Various archeological sites and temples in Bilaspur attract tourists from all over the world. Achanakmar Wildlife sanctuary is one of the renowned ecotourism spots in Chhattisgarh.

Blacktown is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Blacktown is located 34 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district. Blacktown is the largest of any suburb or township in New South Wales and is one of the most multicultural places in Sydney. According to the 2016 census, there were 47,176 residents in the suburb of Blacktown.

Bloemfontein is the capital city of the province of Free State of South Africa; and, as the judicial capital of the nation, one of South Africa's three national capitals (the other two being Cape Town, the legislative capital, and Pretoria, the administrative capital) and is the seventh largest city in South Africa. Situated at an altitude of 1,395 m (4,577 ft) above sea level, the city is home to approximately 520,000 residents and forms part of the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, which has a population of 747,431.

Bogotá is the capital and largest city of Colombia. The city is located in the center of Colombia, on a high plateau 8,660 feet (2,640 metres) above sea level known as the Bogotá savanna. It is the capital and largest city of Colombia administered as the Capital District. Bogotá is a territorial entity of the first order, with the same administrative status as the departments of Colombia. As the most populous city in Colombia, Bogotá had 6,778,691 inhabitants within the city's limits (2005 census) and 10,200,000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area.

Bordeaux is a port city on the Garonne River in the Gironde department in southwestern France. The municipality (commune) of Bordeaux proper has a population of 246,586 (2014). Together with its suburbs and satellite towns, Bordeaux is the centre of the Bordeaux Métropole. With 760,933 inhabitants (as of 2014) and 1,195,335 in the metropolitan area, it is the sixth largest in France.

Buenos Aires is the capital and most populous city of Argentina. The city is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Río de la Plata, on the South American continent's southeastern coast.  In the census of 2010 there were 2,891,082 people residing in the city. The Greater Buenos Aires conurbation, which also includes several Buenos Aires Province districts, constitutes the fourth-most populous metropolitan area in the Americas, with a population of around 17 million.

Burgas, sometimes transliterated as Bourgas, is the second largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and the fourth-largest in Bulgaria. It has a population of 211,033 inhabitants, while 277,922 live in its urban area. It is the capital of Burgas Province and an important industrial, transport, cultural and tourist centre.

The Port of Burgas is the largest port in Bulgaria, and Burgas Airport is the second most important in the country. Burgas is the center of the Bulgarian fishing and fish processing industry.

Chandigarh is a city and a union territory in India that serves as the capital of the two neighboring states of Haryana and Punjab. The city is unique in that it is not a part of either of the two states but is governed directly by the Union Government, which administers all such territories in the country. Chandigarh is bordered by the state of Punjab to the north, the west and the south, and to the state of Haryana to the east

Chennai (formerly known as Madras) is the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal, it is one of the biggest cultural, economic and educational centres in South India. According to the 2011 Indian census, it is the fifth-largest city and fourth-most populous urban agglomeration in India.

San Francisco, is the cultural, commercial, and financial center of Northern California. It is the fourth-most populous city in California, and the 13th-most populous in the United States. In a 2016 census, the estimated population was 870,887. The metropolitan area had a population of more than 4.6 million.

Chicago, is the third-most populous city in the United States. With over 2.7 million residents, it is also the most populous city in both the state of Illinois and the Midwestern United States.  The Chicago metropolitan area, often referred to as Chicagoland, has nearly 10 million people and is the third-largest in the United States.

Chicago has often been called a global architecture capital and is considered one of the most important business centers in the world.

Cixi is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of the sub-provincial city of Ningbo, Zhejiang. At the 2010 census, its population was 1,462,383. Its urban agglomeration built-up (or metro) area, largely contiguous with Cixi plus the county-level city of Yuyao, had 2,473,042 inhabitants.

Cixi is an important manufacturing city in northern Zhejiang province.

Coimbatore is the third largest city in Tamilnadu, With a population of more than 15 lakhs. There are more than 30,000 tiny small, medium and large industries and textile mills. The city is known for its entrepreneurship of its residents. The climate is comfortable round the year.. The city is situated on the banks of the river Noyyal.

Cologne is the largest city in the German federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth most populated city (1,060,582 inhabitants by 2015) in Germany (after Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich). It is located within the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region which is Germany's largest and one of Europe's major metropolitan areas with a population of 3,573,500.

Copenhagen is the capital and most populous city of Denmark. The city has a population of 775,033 (as of January 2018), of whom 613,288 live in the Municipality of Copenhagen. The larger urban area has a population of approximately 1.3 million (as of 1 January 2016) within the Capital Region of Denmark, while the Copenhagen metropolitan area has over 2 million inhabitants.

Copenhagen is situated on the eastern coast of the island of Zealand and is separated from Malmö, Sweden, by the strait of Øresund. The Øresund Bridge connects the two cities by rail and road.

Cork is a university city in southwest Ireland, in the province of Munster, which had a population of 125,622 in 2016. The city is situated on the River Lee, which splits into two channels at the western end and divides the city centre into islands. Population in the larger metropolitan area was about 400,000 in the 2011 census.

Cork City is a hub of industry in the province. Several pharmaceutical companies have significant operations in the area, including Pfizer Inc., Johnson & Johnson and Swiss company Novartis.

Coventry is a city and metropolitan borough in the West Midlands, England. It is the second largest city in the West Midlands region, after Birmingham, with a population of 345,385 in 2015.

Curitiba is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of Paraná. The city sits on a plateau at 932 metres (3,058 ft) above sea level. Curitiba's population numbered approximately 1,879,355 people as of 2015, and the had a total population of over 3.2 million (estimate 2010).

Curitiba is an important cultural, political, and economic centre in Latin America. The city receives more than two million tourists every year. 

Cyberjaya is a town with a science park as the core that forms a key part of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia. It is located in Sepang District, Selangor. Cyberjaya is adjacent to, and developed along with Putrajaya, Malaysia's new seat of government. The day-time population in Cyberjaya is about 83,000 and the current population is expected to increase to 100,000 by end of 2016 with the robust developments taking place. Cyberjaya's population is expected to increase to 210,000 by 2020.

Daejeon is South Korea's fifth-largest metropolis. Daejeon had a population of over 1.5 million in 2010. Located in the central region of South Korea, Daejeon serves as a hub of transportation and is at the crossroads of major transport routes.

Daejeon is one of South Korea's administration hubs with the Daejeon Government Complex. Currently, 12 national government offices are located in the city.

Dahod is a small city on the banks of the Dudhimati River in Dahod District in the State of Gujarat, India. It is said that it have taken its name from Saint Dadhichi, who had an Ashram on the bank of Dadhumati river.

It is 214 kilometres (133 mi) from Ahmedabad and 159 kilometres (99 mi) from Vadodara. It is also known as Dohad (meaning "two boundaries", as the borders of the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are nearby).

Dehradun is the interim capital city of Uttarakhand, a state in the northern part of India. The Dalai Lama's residence and the headquarters of Central Tibetan Administration (the Tibetan government in exile) are in Dharamshala. Dharamshala is 18 kilometers from Kangra.

It has a population of 3 million people, the majority being expats and only 23% (2018) being Emirati.
