Satna is a city in the Satna District of Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is home for district's administrative headquarters.

Sagar (Saugor), is a city in the state of Madhya Pradesh in central India. Situated on a spur of the Vindhya Range and 1,758 feet (536 m) above sea-level. The city is around 180 kilometres (110 mi) northeast of state capital, Bhopal. The city was established as the capital of Maratha people in 1735 and later was an important site during British rule. Many relics remain from these periods, such a number of forts.

It was once the seat of ancient kingdom of Vikramaditya and is situated at a unique geographical location from where tropic of cancer passes.
