UNU-EGOV Joanna Rodrigues

Joanna Rodrigues is a Research Assistant at the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV). She is graduated in Communication Sciences by the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal), where she also obtained her MSc in Communication Sciences, more specifically in the area of Advertising and Public Relations. Her Master Thesis was developed in the field of Strategic Communication, particularly focused on the Internal Communication Audit she implemented at Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal.

She has worked as a Research Assistant in the field of Media and Information Literacy at the Communication and Society Research Centre and as a Corporate Communications Specialist at Bosch and dstgroup. Her research interests are focused on Smart Cities, Media and Information Literacy, Organisational and Strategic Communication, and Communication and Climate Change. Currently, she has been working in the Smart Cities Research Line developing case studies of best practices and supporting the design of Smart City Capacity Building Training Courses.
