Urban Strategist
As an urban strategist and designer, Abhi focus on responding the complex issues, contexts, concepts for urban and regional living by articulating the built environment through the urban program and from within their geographic, natural, social, economic contexts. His practice aims to create an intersection of innovation, design, and nature that improve the city life through a human-centered approach.
Abhijeet has extensive experience in both private consulting and public sector- from Urban Design, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) designs, Public Realm Improvements, and Complete Streets, Neighborhood Revitalization, Community Planning, and Resilience Designs. Some of his key projects are Brooklyn - Queens Connector (BQX) Feasibility Study, East Parcel Redevelopment in Sleepy Hollow, Buffalo Comprehensive Transit-Oriented Development Planning, Albany Complete Streets Guidelines, MARTA Line extension in Atlanta, LA River Downtown Design Dialogue.
As an architect, Abhijeet has worked with the state government of India to manage three architectural projects from concept stage to its onsite execution. His wide range of experience includes conducting GIS spatial analysis and developing highly interactive graphics both in 2D and 3D environment. His love for art can be seen in his charcoal work, exhibited on numerous occasions in various galleries in India and the United States.
