Allahabad local Hindustani pronunciation: or Prayag is a large metropolitan city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Allahabad is the oldest living city in India after Varanasi. The city's original name – Prayag, or "place of offerings" – comes from its position at the Sangam (confluence) of the Ganga, Yamuna and Sarasvati rivers. It plays a central role in Hindu scriptures.

Tirunelveli also known as Nellai and historically (during British rule) as Tinnevelly, is a major city in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Tirunelveli an ancient city is about 2000 years old and is a town of hoary tradition. Thamirabarani River flows here gives pride to the city. Tirunelveli is the capital of Tirunelveli District.

Pimpri Chinchwad, also known as Navi Pune, is a part of Pune in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is the urban agglomeration of Pune. It consists of the towns of Pimpri, Chinchwad, Nigdi, Akurdi, Ravet, Bhosari, Pimple Gurav, Moshi, Punawale, and Sangavi, which are governed by a common municipal body (the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation or PCMC). It has been divided into sectors for proper planning of the city. It is located to the north-west and is connected to the centre of Pune city via the Old Pune-Mumbai Highway.

Tiruppur or Tirupur is a city in the Kongu Nadu region of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Tiruppur is a major textile and knit wear hub contributing to 90% of total cotton knit wear exports from India. The textile industry provides employment to over six lakh people and contributed to exports worth 200 billion (US$3.1 billion) in 2014-15. Tiruppur is also known as the knitwear capital of India.

Dehradun is the interim capital city of Uttarakhand, a state in the northern part of India. Located in the Garhwal region, it lies 236 kilometres (147 mi) north of India's capital New Delhi and 168 kilometres (104 mi) from Chandigarh. At its core is the 6-sided Ghanta Ghar clock tower. To the southwest is Paltan Bazaar, a busy shopping area. Just east is the Sikh temple Gurdwara Nanaksar, topped with ornate white and golden domes.

Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is the capital of India's southern Karnataka state.  It has a population of over ten million,[9] making it a megacity and the third most populous city and fifth most populous urban agglomeration in India. It is located in southern India on the Deccan Plateau. Its elevation is over 900 m (3,000 ft) above sea level, the highest of India's major cities.

Amaravati is the capital city of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a newly planned city which derives its name from the ancient Amaravathi town located in Guntur district. Newly planned city of Amaravati along with neighboring Vijayawada, Guntur and Tenali forms the Metropolitan region of Amaravati namely Andhra Pradesh Capital Region which is the largest populated region of Andhra Pradesh state with a population of 5.8 million as of 2011 census which is governed by APCRDA.

Naya Raipur is a city located between National Highways NH-6 and NH-43, about 17 km south-east of the current capital Raipur; Swami Vivekananda Airport separates the old and new cities. Naya Raipur is serving as the administrative capital of the State and also caters to the infrastructural needs of industry and trade in the region. Naya Raipur is surrounded by the cities of Raipur, Arang, Mahasamund, Rajim and Abhanpur. Naya Raipur covers an area of about 8000 hectares.

The former capital of the princely state of Saurashtra, Rajkot was founded in the 16th c. by the jadeja Rajputs, who ruled until independence. During the colonial period, the city was the administrative headquarters of the Saurashtra region, and today it is the district headquarters. The city is situated on the Aji River and sprawls with regal architecture. It is also an industrial center and an important hub for the body building of vehicles.

Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Trivandrum and The Prince of Arabian Sea) is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Kerala. Thiruvananthapuram is a major Information Technology hub in India, and contributes 55% of Kerala's software exports as of 2015.
