Thane, colloquially called Thana, is a metropolitan city in India. Thane city coincides entirely with Thane taluka, one of the seven talukas of Thane district; also, it is the headquarter of the namesake district. With a population of 1,841,488 distributed over a land area of about 147 square kilometres Thane city is the 16th most populated city in India.

Thanjavur, formerly Tanjore, is a city in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Thanjavur is an important center of South Indian religion, art, and architecture. Its many temples include the 11th-century Brihadeeswarar Temple, a vast Chola dynasty–era complex with a frescoed interior, which are UNESCO World Heritage Monuments too. The foremost among these, the Brihadeeswara Temple, is located in the centre of the city. Thanjavur is also home to Tanjore painting, a painting style unique to the region.

Tiruppur is a major textile and knit wear hub contributing to 90% of total cotton knit wear exports from India. The textile industry provides employment to over six lakh people and contributed to exports worth 200 billion (US$3.1 billion) in 2014-15. Tiruppur is also known as the knitwear capital of India.

Tumkur (officially renamed as Tumakuru) is the district headquarters of Tumkur district. It is one of the industrial cities located in the state of Karnataka. Since 28 August 2010, Tumkur has been accorded the status of a City Corporation. Tumkur plays host for India's first mega food park which is a project of the ministry of food processing. The India Food Park was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2014.
